Logging in Java applications using Log4j

Logging is an essential aspect of application development as it helps us track and troubleshoot issues. In Java, one popular logging framework is Log4j. Log4j provides powerful logging capabilities that can be easily integrated into your application.

To get started with Log4j, follow these steps:

Step 1: Add Log4j as a dependency

To use Log4j in your Java application, you need to include the Log4j dependency in your project. You can add the following dependency to your pom.xml file if you are using Maven:

This configuration file sets up two appenders: ConsoleAppender for logging to the console, and FileAppender for logging to a file named application.log. Adjust the configuration according to your needs.

Step 3: Use Log4j in your code

Now that Log4j is set up, you can use it in your Java code. Import the Log4j classes and define a logger instance using the class you want to log from:
