Using Hazelcast distributed event listeners with topics in Java applications

In distributed systems where multiple components need to communicate with each other, event-driven architecture plays a vital role. Hazelcast, a popular open-source in-memory data grid, provides a powerful event system called Topics that allows components within the cluster to publish and subscribe to events.

Setting up Hazelcast

To begin, we need to include the Hazelcast dependency in our Java application. Add the following Maven dependency to your pom.xml file:
