How does abstraction work in Java?

Abstract Classes

An abstract class in Java cannot be instantiated, meaning you cannot create an object of an abstract class. It serves as a blueprint for its subclasses by providing common methods and fields that can be inherited. Abstract classes can have both abstract and non-abstract methods.

To create an abstract class in Java, use the abstract keyword before the class declaration. Abstract methods, which have no implementation, are declared using the abstract keyword as well. Subclasses of an abstract class must provide an implementation for all the abstract methods.
