Overloading stream operators in Java

In Java, the stream API provides a powerful and expressive way to perform operations on a collection of elements. However, in some cases, you may need to extend the functionality of the stream API by overloading the stream operators.

What is Operator Overloading?

However, you can still achieve a similar effect by using method names that are similar to the operator names. This approach is commonly used for numeric operations like addition, subtraction, or comparison.

To overload stream operators, we can define custom methods that can be used in the stream pipeline to perform specific operations. Let’s take an example of overloading the + operator for numeric addition.
